The purpose of PNTO is to raise consciousness of the very real and imminent danger of nuclear terrorism. We believe addressing this risk should be one of the most important focal areas - if not THE most important focal area - of United States policy. If the United States falls victim to nuclear attack, all of the things on which our government now spends so much effort will fade to unimportance.

You may disagree with our specific policy recommendations. But we hope you use this site to inform yourself about the risks of nuclear terrorism.

And if you agree that nuclear terror is truly an issue that should rise to the forefront of our national consciousness and political debate... PLEASE write to your elected representatives and let them know how important preventing nuclear terrorism is to you, and that you want them to make it a national priority. Articulate letters from their constituents expressing concern will mean even more to our elected officials than your signatures on this petition.
